Faizal believes that to really make a lasting impact, change must be both long-term and sustainable. This thinking is central to every project the Foundation takes on and has led to a variety of successful initiatives. These include a sustainable school intervention model that reforms government education practices and farmer education
project that empowers them with modern practices and techniques.
Faizal played a significant role in the creation of low-cost, high-quality construction of schools, hospitals and food subsidy centres as well as in the up-skilling of construction workers across India.
Faizal is also a big believer in the application of technology to solutions, considering it pivotal to having the largest and fastest impact in the effort to uplift the underprivileged and build a more equitable world for all.
Shabana Faizal cares passionately about people, development and community. Over her 20-year entrepreneurial and philanthropic journey she has focused on developing avenues that empower the less privileged with sustainable opportunities.

Sophiya, Sarah, Zachariah and Czarina have been a part of the family’s journey over the last 10 years as they set-up the Faizal and Shabana Foundation. Each of them is committed to carrying forward this legacy of giving to create an impact by supporting causes they care deeply about and making philanthropy a key focus in their lives.
