Urdu Project
The Faizal and Shabana Foundation initiated a culturally significant collaboration with renowned visual artist and documentary photographer Taha Ahmad. This project, undertaken under the Foundation’s QissaGoi initiative, aimed to produce a compelling body of work that explores themes of identity, language, and shared histories.
The commissioned project involved the creation of twenty original photographic artworks featuring calligraphed letters and poems by Sabika Abbas, printed on museum-grade archival paper, and enhanced with 24-carat gold leaf. The project also included a two-minute video art piece, detailed project texts and captions, and behind-the-scenes documentation. Eight of the artworks were acquired for the Foundation’s private collection, with the remaining twelve reserved for future exhibition and digital use.
