The Faizal and Shabana Foundation initiated a culturally significant collaboration with renowned visual artist and documentary photographer Taha Ahmad. This project, undertaken under the Foundation\u2019s QissaGoi initiative, aimed to produce a compelling body of work that explores themes of identity, language, and shared histories.<\/p>\n
The commissioned project involved the creation of twenty original photographic artworks featuring calligraphed letters and poems by Sabika Abbas, printed on museum-grade archival paper, and enhanced with 24-carat gold leaf. The project also included a two-minute video art piece, detailed project texts and captions, and behind-the-scenes documentation.
